Cats Protection do a fantastic job, so I was very glad to meet with them and discuss cat welfare issues including the importance of pets for those otherwise isolated, cat microchipping, pet travel and the dangers of buying cats online.
With over 900,000 cats in Scotland, cats are undoubtedly one of the most popular pets, and I know constituents are big cat lovers. It was especially nice to have chance to sing the praises of local groups including Cats Protection Giffnock & District Branch who do a wonderful job locally.
