Glad to speak about Christian Aid Week, which this year is focused on women farmers and their families in Malawi, facing growing challenges from climate change as well as the soaring cost of food and other essentials.
Since 1957, Christian Aid Week has mobilised thousands of churches and millions of individuals to give their time and efforts to raise funds to help their global neighbours. I know that last year, constituents in in East Renfrewshire were in the top 10% for raising money for Christian Aid.
I know how many people in our local area work to support the aims of Christian Aid Week, and they are making a real difference to the lives of others across the world.
