It was fantastic to be part of the official opening of a new co-located Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) response and training facility at Scottish Fire and Rescue Service’s Clarkston Community Fire Station yesterday, and to hear first hand about the significant benefits to both services and to the community of this joint working initiative.
I was incredibly impressed by the way both services are working together as well as with other partners to deliver care and preventative support as they go about their jobs, and I am very grateful to them for all the time they took to talk to me about this important work.
