Again today, I have raised the recent closures of Neilston and now Clarkston Post Offices in the House of Commons. It is not good enough that UK Government Ministers are adopting a head-in-the-sand approach to the urgent need to put in place plans to make it more attractive and sustainable to take on a Post Office.
This was already a challenging profession, and the damage to confidence caused by the Horizon scandal is further impacting on the willingness of new Postmasters to come forward. This need action now.
