RAMH Community Garden

It was a real pleasure to visit the RAMH Community Garden in Barrhead. It’s at 21 Carlibar Gardens, and it looks fantastic - a real wee oasis in the town. Big thanks to Graeme for showing me around.

What a power of work service users and the RAMH team has put into making this brilliant space the best it can be. They have glorious flowers, fruit, veg, insects, birds, and plenty of room for just sitting and enjoying the space as well as opportunity to participate.

The garden is something they’re rightly proud of, and I was also very pleased to hear of the positive impact people have experienced in their mental health from their involvement in the garden. Lovely too to learn of the support local businesses and the community more widely have given to get it to where it is now.

RAMH welcome anyone who wants to come down and visit, or to use the space to benefit their own mental health and wellbeing.

If you want to get in touch with them, or if you would find it helpful to refer in to their service for support with any mild to moderate issues with mental health, anyone who is 16 years or older living in East Ren or with a GP in East Ren can email, phone or visit the RAMH website to self refer: https://ramh.org
