Today the First Minister has announced the next steps of our progression through Phase 3 of the Route Map, and indicative dates for further changes to come that will be confirmed nearer the time.
From 1st August
Shielding paused
From 3rd August
Counselling services and some support groups can resume
Sports coaches can restart services once relevant guidance is implemented
Routine eye care services can be provided within community optometry practices
From 11th August
Children are able to return to schools full time.
From 17th August
Urgent dental care involving aerosols may begin to be provided in practices for NHS patients
From 24th August - indicative date only
Live outdoor events with physical distancing
Organised outdoor contact sports following the guidance of relevant sports bodies
Bingo halls, funfairs, amusement arcades, casinos, snooker/pool halls, indoor bowling all with distncing and following guidance
Driving lessons can resume
From 14th September - indicative only
Gyms, swimming pools, soft play, indoor sports courts
Indoor entertainment venues including theaters and live music, excluding nighclubs
Stadia with restricted numbers
Not before 11th September
Non essential offices and call centres can open following implementation of relevant guidance. Working from home and working flexibly remain the default.
